Evacuate Stranded Students from AMU: J&K Students Association Urges UP, J&K Govt

Living conditions of Stranded Students continues to deteriorate: Nasir Khuehami

J&K Students Association here on today demanded immediate evacuation of Kashmiri students, stranded at Aligarh Muslim University. In a Statement issued, Spokesperson of Association Nasir Khuehami said, JK Administration and UP Govt hasn’t utter a single word till now about the Evucavtion of the Students from AMU. He said that Students are facing hardships due to Strict lockdown.

He said that their living conditions continue to deteriorate and they are left there on God’s Mercy. The mental anguish that comes with staying in place far away from home is hard to explain. I don’t know why JK administration & UP Govt is hesitant to Evaucate these stranded Students. Students are helplessly waiting for some mode of transportation to reach their homes, he added.

He also questioned the Union Territory administration over it’s lackdish Approach. He said that immediate measures & special arrangements should be made for the safe evacuation of Kashmiri students stranded at Aligarh Muslim University. Students are running out of money now, Hostel is almost empty, cooks come from outside so its scary to reside in hostel, Students are getting frustrated & are anxiously waiting to go home, he added.

Khuehami Requested UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and JK Administration to direct Concerned officials to act Swiftly and provide necessary assistance to J&K students stranded at Aligarh and to initiate their safe evacuation at an earliest. He urged Chief Minister UP to make all possible efforts to resolve the issue at the earliest as these students and other people are in mental depression, anxiety & are worrying their parents and families in Kashmir Valley too.
