Srinagar, May 14 : A Wednesday ended on peaceful note for the people of Summer capital Srinagar as 1240 stranded residents reached home.
Around 1240 Srinagar residents who were stuck in parts of Country after lockdown restrictions enforced countrywide arrived today through different modes of transport said Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr Shahid Iqbal Chowdhury.
DC Srinagar taking to his Twitter handle said We’ve received over 1240 stranded Srinagar residents through different modes of transport today, making up 3000. Out of 1200 tested, 400 reports available, all negative. Let’s keep doing all positive to remain negative.
As per data available with Kashmir Despatch Government evacuated 39825 JK inhabitants through Lakhanpur till date, 3217 reach Udhampur in 3 special trains, 419 students by flight from Bangladesh.
