Demand compensation of Rs 30 lakh to victim family, bunkers for LoC villages
Jammu, July 18: Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) has strongly condemned killing of three innocent civilians and injuries to others in Pakistan shelling in Poonch.
In a press statement, the J&K Apni Party, senior leaders including former minister Aijaz Ahmed Khan, former Minister Manjit Singh, former minister Choudhary Zulfikar Ali, senior leader Vikram Malhotra, ex-MLA Choudhary Qamar, ex-MLC Vijay Bakaya, senior leader Namrata Sharma, senior youth leader Raqeeq Ahmed Khan and others have expressed their sympathies with the families of the deceased civilian persons who lost their lives in ceasefire violation by Pakistan.
The JKAP leaders prayed to God for the peace of the departed soul and courage to the family members of the deceased persons.
They demanded a compensation of Rs 30 lakhs for the family members of the victim who have lost their loved ones in unprovoked shelling from across the LoC.
The JKAP leaders appealed to the Government to construct concrete bunkers in the vulnerable areas to avoid further loss of lives of the people.
In view of increased ceasefire violation incidents, they said that the Government should ensure construction of the concrete bunkers in all the villages along the Line of Control for the protection of civilian lives.
Condemning the incident, the JKAP leaders said that the continuous ceasefire violation due to which people have suffered on the Line of Control.
“The targeting of civilian areas along the LoC is a highly condemnable and unjustified act of Pakistan. The Government of India should respond to the aggressive gestures of Pakistan on the border with equal force to silence their guns,” said JKAP leaders in a joint statement.
He said that the civilians have no crime being on the border villages. These poor villagers need protection and support from the civil administration in Rajouri and Poonch districts.
