Srinagar, July 18: The death toll due to COVID-19 in Kashmir rose to 219 as six more deaths were recorded in the Division on Saturday.
Sources in the health department told Kashmir Despatch that a CRPF soldier among six more persons succumbed due to COVID-19 in Kashmir on Saturday.
The official said among one each from Bandipora, Budgam, Kulgam, Anantnag, Baramulla and Pulwama districts.
Official sources while sharing details to Kashmir Despatch said an 80-year-old woman from Putushay Bandipora, a 60-year-old man from KB Pora Kulgam, a 55-year-old man from Sallar Anantnag, a 50-year-old woman from Arigam Budgam, a resident of BunglowBagh Baramulla and a 52-year-old CRPF personnel from Assam, who was posted at Awantipora Pulwama.
With these six fresh deaths, the total number of people who died due to COVID-19 in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir has reached 237, among 219 in Kashmir and 18 from Jammu.
