SKIMS rebuts KNS news on Oxygen breakdown

Date:

This is in reference to news carried by KNS news agency ” SKIMS Victim of Mismanagement; Oxygen Supply Breakdown Records Second Time in a Week”

SKIMS refutes that there is any breakdown or shortage of oxygen supply to COVID wards or Intensive Care Units. The accusations of mismanagement at the Institute is part of malicious campaign the news portal has started against the Institute. The news portal has in past also carried/ circulated baseless and manipulated news story. This is highly irresponsible on the part of news portal. Instead of appreciating the good work and efforts of the administration such news agencies are hellbent to mar the reputation of this prestigious Institute which is in front line fighting the pandemic.

SKIMS adminstration is taking all possible measures to manage COVID_ 19 crisis. Patient care is utmost priority of the administration and all required arrangements are monitored at every level. The situation is no doubt challenging but administration is taking every step to ensure safety of patients with all possible help and support.

We urge media to be responsible in this time of crisis which had gripped the whole world. We also request all media houses to check and verify the details with concerned authorities before publishing. The false and unverified details create unnecessary confusion in the minds of general public. Kindly be responsible as in this fight we should be together and work in the larger interest of society.

Issued through
Assistant Director (PR), SKIMS
