Drug peddler arrested By Bandipora Police, contraband substance recovered

Bandipora,Sept 25: Bandipora police while continuing its drive against the nuisance of drugs arrested a drug peddler in Shadipora, Sumbal.
Acting on credible information, police party from police station Sumbal led by SHO Police Station Sumbal arrested one suspected person namely Bilal Ahmad Rather R/o Waskura Ganderbal during a Naka at Shadipora Sumbal. During his search 73 Bottles of psychotropic substance Codeine Phosphate were recovered from his possession.
In this connection Case FIR No.143 /2020 under relevant sections of NDPS act has been registered at Police Station Sumbal and further investigation taken up.
Bandipora police has requested the General Public to come forward with any Information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. They warned that persons found indulging in drug peddling & cultivation of contraband substances will be dealt strictly as per law.
