Srinagar, Nov 23: Advocate Irfan lone, an independent candidate from Sangrama constituency in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday said that Bharatiya Janata Party ‘lies’ on everything, be it on abrogation of Article 370 or any other thing and people have to counter them and their allies on every level.
Talking to Kashmir Despatch, Lone said, “BJP lies on everything just like they said during the abrogation of Article 370. They have made several statements like people in Jammu and Kashmir are celebrating abrogation of Article 370; there is no Right To Education and Article 370 is a hindrance to development, which were a hallmark of lies of by BJP.”
He added, “While our role is to stick together and fight against the BJP at every level which has been making the anti-people move here in Jammu and Kashmir”.
Moreover, we have suffered very much due to traditional politics now my request to people of Jammu and Kashmir is that they should make their representatives answerable at every level be it as District Development Council Election or any other level. And, if such things happen then I think we will be able to solve several things”, he added.
He said: “We people have to stand together for the development of Jammu and Kashmir and as far as DDC elections voters should elect deserving candidates so that development is done at a higher level, which is our main agenda.”
“As far as the PAGD is concerned if their declaration speaks about how abrogation of Article 370 snatched rights of people in the region and how we will bring the Article 370 back then we are on the same page and we will ask them to move forward”, Lone said.
