Srinagar, Nov 24 : BJP senior leader and UT spokesperson Altaf Thakur on Tuesday urged authorities to expedite the process of investigation into 25000 Cr Roshni Land scam.
The BJP leader appealed authorities to deal with fraudalent elements sternly involved in the scam. While lashing out on Abdullah’s and Mufti’s, he said the dynastic politics have done nothing for people but only filled their coffers.
“They looted the resources of the Union Territory (UT) and made money for themselves and for their kith and kins.Their involvement in the Roshni scam is yet another proof of their malpractices,”Thakur said.
Thakur appealed Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to ensure stern punishment to those involved in the scam.
”The act was made with an aim to grant ownership rights to land encroachers, just to raise money for power projects.The act was mis used.Those who deserved ownership rights were left out. The ownership rights were granted to leaders of political parties like NC, PDP and Congress. Even ownership rights were given to hoteliers and businessmen,” he added.
