Sopore: The Amry on Thursday said that the process of recording the ‘summary of evidence’ has been completed regarding the Shopian encounter in which three labours from Rajouri were killed in a “fake encounter”.
The Army in a statement to Kashmir Despatch said with regarding to Op Amshipora, Shopian the process of recording the ‘summary of evidence’ has been completed. The same is being examined by the concerned authorities in consultation with legal advisors for proceeding further.
“Indian Army is committed to ethical conduct of operations. Further details will be shared in a manner so as not to prejudice the proceedings under Army Law”, it said.
It is pertinent to mention here that on July 18, security forces killed the three labourers and dubbed them as militants.
The family members of the three men came out and claimed them as their kin. The police took the DNA samples of the families and it later matched with the bodies.
