Srinagar, Jan 04 : A young Sikh social worker was seen protesting on Monday in support of the families of slain South Kashmir youth’s killed in an alleged gunfight in Lawaypora area of Kashmir capital Srinagar, on Wednesday.
The family of slain youth Athar Mushtaq Wani staged a protest in Press Enclave Srinagar on Monday and demanded their son’s mortal remains and fair investigation into the controversial encounter reported news agency KDC.
Angat Singh, a young Sikh social worker, was also present in support of the family, chanting slogans alongside the family.
While talking to reporters, Angat Singh said that the police should conduct an impartial investigation into the matter and in accordance with international law; the police should return the body of Athar to his family.
Pertinently, on Wednesday forces claimed to have killed three hardcore militants planning to carry out the big attack on Srinagar-Baramulla highway in Lawaypora outskirts of Srinagar.
