Locals say authorities didn’t respond to calls despite repeated attempts

SRINAGAR: The residents of Madina Bagh Colony, Chanapora Srinagar have urged authorities to clear snow from inner lanes of the society as people have been facing trouble from last few days.
The locals have alleged that from last two days they have been repeatedly calling authorities, however they are not responding make life difficult for everyone.
The residents talking with Kashmir Despatch said that no one from the authority came forward in last three days to help us amid heavy snowfall, alleged the group of people from Madina Bagh Colony Chanapora.
“We are in stress, there are no one to help. We can’t move outside our home to buy essential items as there is lot of snow”, said one of the resident.
He added, “We have children, old age people and patients as well. So we are urge authorities to clear the snow from inner colony of the Madina Bagh, Chanapora as soon as possible”.
“We called on the number which were provided by the Srinagar administration on their official Twitter handle, however they didn’t respond to any of the call. We urge authorities to help us out”, said another resident of the colony.
