Police files FIR against Srinagar youth for keeping unauthorized 12 bore rifle

Srinagar, Apr 23 : Jammu and Kashmir Police have registered a formal case against a youth for possessing an unauthorized 12-Bore rifle in Kashmir Capital Srinagar.

An official told said that Wildlife Department Srinagar after receiving specific information, apprehended one youth identified as Sahil Ahmed Dar, Son of Ghulam Rasool Dar a resident of Hokersar area of outskirts of Capital city with an unauthorized 12 Bore rifle.

He said that the youth failed to produce documents of the rifle and accordingly the wildlife department approached the police for legal action.

SHO Parimpora told News Agency KDC that we have registered a formal FIR vide number 71/2021 under section 7/27 Arms Act, 353,51 WLTF against the offender for possessing this rifle adding that the youth has not been arrested yet. (KDC)
