Muslim Ulemas, Imaam Masajid and scholars across the Sopore have called on people to “stay home and stay safe” this Shab-e-Qadr.
They appealed the people to keep mosques closed for the Laylatul Qadr today in order to avoid congregations and to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
“This Shab-e Qadr stay home.” That is the message of various Muslim bodies to the people of Sopore for the night of decree.
“We appeal to all Muslims to spend Laylatul-e-Qadr at home offering prayers, reciting the Holy Quran and doing zikr and prayers. Pray for the world and muslim world. Muslims should not visit mosques for the Shab-e-Qadr but pray at their homes,” the joint amalgam of Ulemas said while talking to Kashmir Despatch.
They said that while as the civil and police administration is busy in saving lives of people by enforcing covid lockdown, it is duty of common people to help the administration and themselves to curb the spread of Coronavirus.
“Together we can defeat this virus and save humanity,” they said.
