BSNL services defunct, irks subscribers in Kreeri Tehsil

KREERI, Sep 15: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) services have turned non-functional in north Kashmir’s Kreeri tehsil in Baramulla district for the past one week giving a tough time to its’ clientele.

The locals from Kreeri complained about the callous approach of BSNL authorities in providing its broadband and mobile internet services in the area. “It has been one week and all the BSNL services are shut here,” said Abdul Salam a local resident, while talking to Kashmir Despatch.

He said that mobile phone connectivity, landline and broadband services are out of order for the last one week. “We are forced to pay huge mobile bills unnecessarily for the dismal services of BSNL,” he added.

Chairman Jammu and Kashmir General Category Welfare Forum and respectable of Kreeri Tehsil Syed Shameem Ahmad while talking with Kashmir Despatch said that “The dial-up server is down and I haven’t been able to connect via my landline,” he said the subscribers have been facing tough time in the tehsil and authorities of BSNL hardly bother to look into the issue.

He said that whenever you bring the poor service issue into the notice of BSNL officials, they come up with only lame excuses.

Meanwhile, talking to Kashmir Despatch Mushtaq Ahmad, north head of BSNL said that due to some technical issue with the Power Development Department the power supply was disconnected which resulted in huge inconvenience to the subscribers in the area.

He however said that the matter has been almost solved and till tomorrow evening BSNL service will be restored in the area.
