Akshay Labroo, Tripura cadre IAS officer, is new Director Information J&K

Srinagar, May 05 : Akshay Labroo, IAS officer from Tripura cadre has been posted as new Director Information Jammu and Kashmir after a major reshuffle took place in the civil administration of Union Territory.

According to details available, Labroo is an IAS Officer of Tripura cade but he originally belongs to Jammu & Kashmir.

Labroo has previously held the position of Policy Associate at the Ministries of Defence and Industries & Commerce prior to his joining in the Jammu & Kashmir Government.

Before being given the additional charge of the post of Director Information J&K, he was posted as Mission Director, Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation 2.0 (AMRUT 2.0).

In the latest administrative reshuffle, he was transferred and posted as Additional
Secretary in the Lt Governor’s Secretariat and was also given additional charge of the post of Director Information, J&K.

“Akshay Labroo, IAS(TR:2018), Mission Director, Atal Mission for Rejuventation and Urban Transformation 2.0 (AMRUT-2.0), is transferred and posted as Additional Secretary in the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat. He shall also hold the charge of the post of Director, Information, J&K, in addition to his own duties, till further orders,” reads the order issued by J&K government.
