SOPORE, Aug 10: Continuing its efforts to remove the menace of drugs from the society, Sopore Police has recovered 95 grams of Charas like substance from a notorious drug peddler during naka checking at Batpora Rohama.
According to a statement issued here, police said that on 09 August, a naka was established by a team of Police Station Panzla headed by Insp. Parveen Kumar under the supervision of SDPO Rafiabad Shri. Ameen Bhat-JKPS and the arrested drug peddler has been identified as: Irfan Ahmad Lone son of Muhammad Maqbool Lone R/O Charlipora Rohama Rafiabad.
A Case FIR number 49/2022 under section 8/20 of NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Panzla & investigation taken up. The investigation of the case is going on.
Community members are once again requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
