Sumbal: -A high level meeting was held to review the security arrangements made by Police for the safety & assistance of mourners ahead of 12th Muharram processions from Imambada Dangerpora to Shahtulpora.
The meeting was chaired by SP Shri Ashiq Tak and was attended by Dysp Hajin Shri Latief Ahmad Khan,SDPO Sumbal shri Surinder Mohan ,President All Shia Association Bandipora Qasim Wani @Qasim Ansari and Shia Association members of Bandipora .
Security meeting was held to review security arrangements for 12th Muharram ul Haram Procession to be taken on 11 August from Imambada Dangerpora to Shahtulpora.
SP Ashiq Tak directed officers to ensure atmosphere of communal harmony during Muharram and ensure foolproof security of Majalis and processions.
He said that cooperation of organisers with police and law enforcing officials is vital.
He directed to maintain high vigilance on processions on the occasion.
He said that it should be ensured that processions pass through the fixed routes and timings of processions be observed strictly.
He further directed for smooth flow of traffic on alternative routes during the processions.
