GHS Botingoo Sopore celebrates Teachers Day

SOPORE, Sep 10: Government Higher Secondary School Botingoo in north Kashmir’s Sopore town on Saturday celebrated the teachers’ day, with students in general participating in the programme expressing their love and respect for their teachers.

The programme was organized by the Terrific Trio Trust-a non-governmental organization based in Sopore.

The chief guest on the occasion was chief educational officer (CEO) Baramulla, Ghulam Mohammad Lone,  ZEO Dangerpora Fayaz Ahmed Bhat, Principal higher secondary school Botingoo Mohammad Mustafa Bhat, HOI’s of cluster Botingoo, BDC member Zaingeer and senior citizens of Zaingeer participated in the event, besides students across zone Dangerpora.

On the occasion various speakers threw light on the importance of teachers in a healthy Society. In their address various speakers termed teachers as beacon lights and nation builders who play pivotal roles in shaping the lives of students.

CEO Baramulla, Ghulam Mohammed Lone on the occasion congratulated the students who qualified NEET examination. He advised the  aspirants and students to work hard as there is no shortcut to success other than hard work.

“Consistency is key as preparing for an examination is not an overnight job. One needs to put in a lot of hard work,” CEO said.

Similarly, Qurat ul Ain – President Terrific Trio Trust said that teacher’s day is a day that is celebrated to inculcate good relationships between students and teachers. It is a day celebrated to show the teachers our appreciation towards them and their hard work.

During the event, various programs including cultural, singing and rouf, besides a speech competition was also held.

Later on, the students were awarded with moments and appreciation certificates for their best performance and dedication.
