Uri : Security Forces in north Kashmir’s Border town on Saturday recovered arms and ammunition during cordon and search operation.

Police In a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch which reads, Based on a specific intelligence input by agencies regarding presence of cache of arms/ ammuniton in area of Hathlanga Uri.

A joint parties of Baramulla Police and Army 3 Rajput launched search operation in wee hours near Hathlanga area of Uri sector including Hathlanga nallah which led to the recovery of following arms/ ammunition
AK-47 Rifle- 01 No.
AK Magazine- 01 No’s
AK 47 Ammunition – 28 rounds

Case under Indian Arms Act registered in Police Station Uri and investigation set in motion.
