Baramulla, Oct 18: As many as 33 sheep were killed in a leopard attack at Boniyar village in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A police officer told Kashmir Despatch the leopard entered Braripora Bijhama area of Boniyar, and sucked the blood of the sheep, killing 33 at a time.
The officer said that all the sheep belonged to Majid Irshad, a resident of Baramulla.
He said the police registered a case in this regard.
Meanwhile, reports reaching this newspaper said that the panic-stricken villagers in the border town of Uri have demanded measures to trap the leopard.
