Chuntimulla (Bandipora), 11 Nov: Children’s Day was celebrated at Higher secondary school Chuntimulla with great fervour and enthusiasm.
This day is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawahir Lal Nehru a great son of soil and first prime minister of India. Pandit ji loved the children very much, he used good time to spend with children. He was popularly called Chacha Nehru for his affinity with the children.
On the occasion the students conduted different programmes and spoke on different aspects related to the event.The teachers also deliberated on the subject highlighting the different dimensions of the event.
All the speakers stressed on the over all
development of budding learners.The speakers felt that our children need the holistic, integrated and free access to quality education enabling them to face 21st century challenges besides making them aware about our age old ethos. “Children have to know their rights to prevent them from all sorts of exploitation and deprivation” the speakers added.
The childerns day calls for balanced development of young learners to make them responsible citizens which will form the bedrock of knowledgeable societies.Those who spoke on the occasion include Dr Nasir Hussain Peerzada (Principal)
