Calls for strict action against Absentees
PULWAMA, NOVEMBER 01: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Kuldeep Krishan Sidha, today conducted a surprise inspection of Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Pampore to assess the functioning of the healthcare facility, staff attendance and the availability of medical services.
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner found that only one doctor was present on duty. Taking serious note of the staff absence, the Deputy Commissioner ordered strict action against the absentees and held the Block Medical Officer (BMO), Pampore, accountable for ensuring proper staff attendance and effective functioning of the hospital.
Emphasising that healthcare institutions must function efficiently and remain accessible to the public, the DC stressed that punctuality, duty adherence and uninterrupted delivery of medical services are non-negotiable.
He further stated that negligence in public service delivery, particularly in the healthcare sector, would not be tolerated and that strict action would be taken against those found derelict in their duties.
