Organizes conference at KU in his remembrance

SRINAGAR : Anjumane-Adab Ganderbal organized a one-day Literary Conference at Markazi Noor Sheikh-Ul-Alam Center, Kashmir University, to celebrate the life and contribution of Late Dr. Aziz Hajini towards Kashmir, including the language and the literature.
The conference was attended by prominent scholars, writers and literary critics, amongst various other personalities associated with art and literature in Kashmir. Dr. Nidhi Kansal presided over the conference as Chief Guest and Prof. Shaad Ramzan as president.
Pertinently, including various dignitaries the conference was attended by Ather Manigami (Patron Anjumane-Adab Ganderbal), Dr.Afaaq Aziz (HOD Central Asian Studies KU), Mohammad Amin Bhat (President Adbi Markaz Kamraaz), Prof.Mehfooza Jan (HOD Kashmiri), G.N. Khaki (Chairman Markazi Noor Kashmir University), Dr.Shafaqat Altaf, Imdad Saki, Kaleem Bashir, Nissar Naseem, Arvind Shah.
During the Conference, Wajid Hassan, General Secretary Ajumane-Adab, presented a paper on the contribution of the literary personalities in the field of Kashmiri Language.
In the second edition of the conference a Mushaira was also held, where prominent young poets and Poetesses took part and enthralled the audience with their verses.
While speaking on the contribution of former Secretary Cultural Academy and Sahitya Academy Awardee Mohammad Amin Bhat said that Dr. Hajini was a doyen of Kashmiri literature. Later, the team Anjumane-Adab visited the residence of the departed soul and offered condolence to the bereaved family.
