Anantnag, Feb 01 : A 24- year-old youth from South Kashmir’s Anantnag who has worked in several web series besides RAW movie aspires to become a full-time actor in Bollywood.
Aaqib Abdullah, a resident of Mattan area of Anantnag was part of Indian Idol singing competition and is also, sketch artist and painter.
Aaqib said that since childhood he has dreamed of becoming an actor.
“I have studied in Army Goodwill School where I was part of various art competitions. In year 2013, I bagged the national award in competition at SKICC Srinagar,” he said.
“I was also part of audition of Indian Idol as well besides that, I have worked in RAW movie with famous actor John Abraham and is working in many web series with Aijaz Khan,” he said.
Aaqib said that he aspires to get a major role in Bollywood movies this year.
“Kashmiri youth are very much talented but due to lack of infrastructure and platform, they lack exposure and are unable to show their talent at mega stages,” he said.
“Irrespective of all hurdles, I request youth to whatever field you choose, work hard that you should become an inspiration for others. There is no substitute to patience and hard work in achieving any dream,” he said—(KNO)
