Aarifeen School of Excellence, Baramulla Commemorates National Sports Day with Enthusiasm

Baramulla, August 29: Aarifeen School of Excellence, Baramulla celebrated National Sports Day by embracing the ‘Fit India Movement,’ a campaign inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The occasion witnessed a vibrant participation of students in an array of sports activities, echoing the significance of a more active lifestyle.

The school’s premises reverberated with youthful energy as students from various grades partook in a day-long series of sporting endeavors including Kabaddi and Basketball competitions, showcasing both their athletic prowess and team spirit.

Coordinator Asma Sadiq took the stage to underscore the importance of National Sports Day.

Paying homage to the legendary hockey maestro, late Major Dhyan Chand, she echoed the sentiment that this day, August 29, has come to symbolize the celebration of his remarkable contributions to the sport.

“Major Dhyan Chand’s legacy continues to inspire generations of athletes,” she said.

The festivities were marked by an assortment of sports events that catered to various interests. Cricket matches, Volleyball clashes, and intense Kabaddi face-offs kept the atmosphere charged with anticipation and excitement.

Additionally, students honed their strategic skills through engaging Chess matches, carrom and other indoor games, fostering a holistic approach to physical and mental wellness.
