Admin to launch door to door awareness campaign for Covid 19 in Sheeri Baramulla

Baramulla, March 18 : In order to spread awareness among people regarding coronavirus Block Development Council Narwah in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district have decided to start door to door campaign.

In an order copy which lies with Kashmir Despatch reads, Whereas COVID19 has been declared Epidemic by WHO and more than 200 countries including India have been so far involved by this virus and Whereas few cases have been found positive in UT of Jammu & Kashmir in Jarnmu Province and there are chances that Kashrnir Province may also get affected.

Whereas COVID19 has a pattern of transmission at a rapid rate in case of prescribed preventive protocol are not strictly followed by public. As such reasons mentioned above Block Development Council Narwah in coordination with Block Medical Officer Sheeri and Project Officer ICDS Sheeri has decided to aware people of Block Narwah about preventive measures to avoid the N-Corona Virus. It has also been decided that ICDS Workers and Asha Workers will be given due orientation while following preventive protocol during orientation about the preventive measures of Covid 19.

Besides Sarpanchs and Panches are also directed to report BMO Sheeri in case any outsider/local with travel history comes back home in their respective panchayats reads the order.

Meanwhile earlier this day Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Baramulla Dr Syed Masood Bukhari told Kashmir Despatch that they have created isolation ward to quarantine suspected patients with symptoms of coronavirus. Dr Masood said his staff is also trained to deal with these patients. “No suspected cases have so far been reported from the district,”.
