After 4 days, 14-yr-old boy’s body fished out from Jhelum in Uri

Baramulla, Sep 26 : The body of a 14-year-old boy was fished out on Saturday afternoon, four days after he drowned into river Jhelum in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
An official told that the boy was accompanied by some of his friends when he drowned into the river while taking a bath.
“As his friends informed passersby, a few local youth jumped into the river to rescue the boy, but couldn’t spot him.”
He said that his body was retrieved today with the help of Army, SDRF, Police and local boat men after four days.
He identified the deceased as Shahid Ahmad, son of Noor Muhammad Kalyan of Nowshara Boniyar Uri. “After legal formalities, the body was handed over to his family members for last rites,” the official said—(KNO)
