Top Jaish commander believed to be trapped

Sopore : A gunfight between militants and forces broke out after night long siege in Sopore town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district early this morning.
Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said earlier Army’s 22 RR, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search operation at Gul Abad area of Arampora Sopore following inputs about the presence of militants movement in the area.
As the forces were carrying searches, the militants opened fire triggering a gunfight, which is still underway,” reports added.
As per preliminary reports, top Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) commander is believed to be trapped.
Meanwhile authorities suspended Internet services in the town as a precautionary measure in wake up of this gunfight.
