Srinagar, June 29: Prominent Shia cleric and President of Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian Jammu and Kashmir, Aga Syed Hassan Al-Moosavi, has received an official invitation from the Office of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran to attend the funeral ceremonies of the late Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in Tehran.
According to a statement, the invitation was conveyed in recognition of Aga Syed Hassan’s longstanding religious and spiritual association with Iran’s religious leadership and his role in promoting Islamic scholarship and unity.
The funeral is expected to draw senior religious scholars, political leaders and dignitaries from across the world as Iran prepares for the final rites of its late Supreme Leader.
Aga Syed Hassan is expected to travel to Tehran to participate in the funeral ceremonies, joining other international delegates invited by the Iranian authorities.
