Alert police foil theft attempt in Sopore

Sopore, Dec 28 : An attempt of robbery was foiled by timely intervention of police in north Kashmir’s Sopore town during Sunday night.

An official told Kashmir Despatch that during the intervening night of 27-28 December, police party on patroling found suspicious movement at Chota Bazar Sopore and accordingly area was sealed.

The official said that acting swiftly, police party headed by SHO Sopore Azim Iqbal rushed to the spot and foiled the attempt of burglars to loot the shops.

Meanwhile, confirming the development to Kashmir Despatch Station house officer Sopore Azim Iqbal said that they suspected  someone was trying to break locks accordingly team swung into action, However, they managed to escape from the spot taking advantage of darkness. The officer said a case has also been registered into this regard.
