Srinagar,01 October :Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on Tuesday said that it was optimistic that the Apex court of the country will adjudge the pleas against the abrogation of Art 370,Art 35-A objectively , saying the people of state are hopeful that the honorable court will uphold the supremacy of rule of law and constitution.
Party while censuring the present ruling dispensation of the country on the unconstitutional and unilateral abrogation of Art 370, Art 35-A said, “The fundamentals on which the union of India was constituted drew its inspiration from the ideals of democracy, socialism and Humanism. However the present ruling dispensation of the country has chosen to tread a path which is diametrically opposite to the cherished ideals on which the country was established. The unilateral and unconstitutional abrogation of Art 370, Art 35-A has indisputably dented the secular visage of the country. Now when the honorable apex court of the country has sent the pleas challenging the unilateral abrogation of Art 370, Art 35-A to a constitutional bench, all eyes are set on the honorable court verdict. We in our party we put up a strong front in the court.”
Party said the honorable apex court of the country has in its previous judgments upheld the Art 370, Art 35-A as a permanent feature of the Indian constitution. “We are hopeful that the honorable court will adjudge the pleas dispassionately for the furtherance of rule of law and constitutional supremacy of the country. We are expectant of a judgment that will snub the forces as are hell bent to tear down the commitments and convictions that sustained the relationship between the country and the state of Jammu and Kashmir,” party said.
Party said the people of J&K will never accept the unilateral abrogation of Art 370, Art 35-A. “No government in the state and the center has ever tried to fiddle with the unique constitutional position of the state. However the present ruling dispensation high on the doze of power took no time to disempower the only Muslim majority of the country. The present ruling dispensation of RSS-BJP has traditionally been disinclined and negatively predisposed towards the rights of minorities in the country. However now it is up to the honorable court to protect the constitutional supremacy of the country,” party said.
