JAMMU, APRIL 22 : Apni Party President Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari has strongly condemned the militant attack in Sunjwan and termed it as an attempt to disturb peace in J&K.
In his statement to the press, Altaf Bukhari said that the militant attack which was carried out in Sunjwan area of Jammu District was unfortunate and it needs to be condemned as it was aimed at disturbing the peaceful atmosphere in J&K.
“The enemies of peace and stability are behind these heinous acts,” he said, expressing sympathy with the CISF officer who was killed in the encounter and five other security personnel injured in the encounter.
He said that the militant attack in Sunjwan two before the scheduled visit of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 24 in Samba District is a cause of serious concern.
He however appealed to the people to maintain communal brotherhood and peace in the society and not give any chance to the elements to play their role to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere.
He also appreciated the security forces including J&K Police for protecting the lives of the civilians with their timely action.
