Altaf Bukhari extends Eid greetings

SRINAGAR, July 9: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Saturday extended his warm greetings and well wishes to the J&K people on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

He urged the people to pray for the peace and prosperity of J&K during congregational prayers. In his felicitation message, Bukhari said, “I extend my warm greetings to the people of J&K on this auspicious occasion, and I pray for the well-being and tranquility of my people. For the Muslims, Eid-ul-Adha is one the most revered festival that is to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion to Almighty Allah, thus, the festival teaches us devotion and obedience to our creator. Thus, we ought to celebrate this auspicious Eid with religious fervor.”

Asking people to pray for the wellbeing and tranquility of Jammu and Kashmir on this auspicious occasion, Bukhari said, “We the people of J&K have been grappling with the turmoil and a phase of violence for quite a long time, and most of the people in this region have suffered hugely due to this situation. We must pray for sustained peace and durable prosperity of this region and its people, during our congregational Eid prayers.”

Bukhari also urged people to help the needy and poor brethren on this special occasion. He said, “The occasion of Eid-ul-Adha should bring out the best virtues in us as Muslims. We should share our joy with each other, especially with the less privileged people around us.”
