Altaf Bukhari felicitates people on Guru Nanak Jayanti

SRINAGAR, November 18: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Thursday extended warm greetings on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti which is marked as the birth anniversary of the founder of Sikhism.

In his greetings, Bukhari said the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji have always laid stress on the virtues of peace, equality and brotherhood.

“Guru Nanak Ji is a noble personality who always taught his disciples to live a life of simplicity while helping the weak and downtrodden sections in the society. He preached compassion and love between different communities and stood firmly against inequality & discrimination. Even after 552 years, his legacy continues to live on and inspire his followers to adhere to his righteous teachings,” he said.

Bukhari heartily wished the Sikh Community members on this auspicious occasion and hoped that it will bring peace, prosperity and serenity across J&K.
