SRINAGAR, Oct 18: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Monday extended his warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).
In a statement issued here, Bukhari said Eid-e-Milad of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) holds a special position in the Islamic history which marks the end of ignorance and beginning of a new era of peace and serenity.
“On this day we must try to reflect on the teachings of this noble Prophet who said that he has been sent as a mercy to all. Everyone is aware about the prevailing situation in the Valley and those whose hands are involved in the killing of innocents must ask themselves, “Does our religion approve of bloodshed?” he said.
Bukhari hoped that this sacred occasion will usher in an era of peace, brotherhood and amity in Jammu and Kashmir and end the era of mindless violence.
