Srinagar, August 11: Amid fearful situation, a Sarpanch from Halqa Sebdan Budgam has quit from his position.
In a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch, Ghulam Mohammad Bhat said that and I am the Sarpanch of Halqa Sebdan, Budgam. I have been living in a fearful environment since the day I was elected as Sarpanch.
“The last few days have been an absolute nightmare. I have decided to resign from the position of Sarpanch today”, he added.
He further said, “I also want to make clear that I was never associated with any political party.
My focus had always been to help the poorest of the poor by making them aware of the subsidies, direct benefit transfers, and various other schemes of the Government”.
