Amid high tension in valley, forces on Wednesday morning launched a cordon-and-search operation in North Kashmir’s Sopore area.
Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said a joint team of forces including Army’s 22 RR, special operation group of police (SOG) and CRPF jointly launched searches in Naseerabad Chinkipora area of Sopore.
Reports said joint team of forces conducted house to house search operation in the area.
SSP Sopore Javeed Iqbal also confirmed this search operation to Kashmir Despatch and said searches in the area has been launched following inputs of militants presence in the area.
Pertinently JRL appealed people to observe protest strike for two days against NIA raids.
