Ananthnag Teacher accused of kidnapping girl arrested

Anantnag police on Thursday said to have solved a “kidnapping” case and arrested the accused involved in the crime.


Giving details, a police officer told Kashmir Despatch one person (name withheld) registered a written complaint at police station Larnoo stating his daughter has been kidnapped by the accused Mohd Ismail Awan Son of Ghulam Mohammad Awan resident of Mathinduu Larnoo, a Govt Teacher (Nation Builder) on 24 February 2020 with the help of his associate Fareed Kasana Son of Abdullah Kasana from Larnoo.

During the course of investigation, A special team headed by SHO police station Larnoo Jan Muzaffar.
“Various places were raided and searched to trace the kidnapper and the victim girl.


A police officer told Kashmir Despatch On specific inputs and strenuous efforts, police recovered the girl and arrested the accused from same area of district Anantnag. In this regard Police registered case FIR No 7/2020 under section 366/376and 109.
