In a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch reads Chief Animal Husbandry officer Baramulla Dr Syed Mohammad Anwar Andrabi on the occasion highlighted the importance of chaff cutters for minimising fodder wastage thereby contributing one of the steps towards doubling farmers income.

Dr Andrabi also gave details about other schemes currently in vogue such as Dairy Development Components under state plan, Dairy Enterpreneurship Development Scheme (DEDS) and Poultry Venture Capital Fund Scheme (PVCF) etc. however, Dr Andrabi felt that the response of farmers towards these schemes is poor and urged farmers to reap the benefits of these schemes.
