Baramulla : Chief Animal Husbandry officer Baramulla Dr Syed Mohammad Anwar Andrabi on Thursday distributed 25 chaff cutters (Power and Hand Driven ) on subsidised rates (around 50 percent subsidy) among the already identified beneficiaries of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
In a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch reads Chief Animal Husbandry officer Baramulla Dr Syed Mohammad Anwar Andrabi on the occasion highlighted the importance of chaff cutters for minimising fodder wastage thereby contributing one of the steps towards doubling farmers income.
Dr Andrabi also gave details about other schemes currently in vogue such as Dairy Development Components under state plan, Dairy Enterpreneurship Development Scheme (DEDS) and Poultry Venture Capital Fund Scheme (PVCF) etc. however, Dr Andrabi felt that the response of farmers towards these schemes is poor and urged farmers to reap the benefits of these schemes.
He also took a review meeting and directed officers to mobilize the field staff for propagation and implementation of these schemes.
