Srinagar Mar 25: As the threat and fear are looming over the globe because of present fragile situation and Uncertainty among common masses after the outbreak of coronavirus, the people of Jammu and Kashmir are to going through this fragile phase to combat the global epidemic, however, the patients who have been diagnosed with Phsycratrist disorder have again come under with previous complications of stress.
” I’m afraid when social networking users are only Updating the updates related to this pandemic,” said a patient who is diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) – A physiatric disorder in which the patient has witnessed some horrific incident which leads them to such level of stress.
Another patient told Kashmir Despatch that during the night he is so scared and only having a nightmare which frightened him. However, he said, “I have to find the remedy as I woke up and offer the prayers after that feel my self stable and safe”. he said
Meanwhile, the psychological doctors declared it a level of fair and anxiety, which is more valuable to such patients, who have diagnosed with stress disorders, Insomnia, and other Phsycratrist illness. Besides some patients feel fever-like conditions after the sunset, which according to doctors is a condition of psychological fear.
Dr. Tasaduk Hussain Itoo, a Physician Consultant told Kashmir Despatch that “There is a panic right now, and patients with such disorder may feel such uncertainty during night hours. However, if they are on medication prescribed by their doctor they may take them as per schedule.
Another Pshycratrist doctor who is deputed at a Government hospital in Srinagar told Kashmir Despatch that ” such patients must avoid watching social networks, but may remain busy with prayers, Books, and other activities in their homes, they should remain calm and have hope on Almighty ALLAH, that such environment of distress will get changed. He further said that we are receiving some calls from such patients, and we advise them with a proper Counseling after they feel better.
Meanwhile, it has been observed that there are hundreds of such cases in the valley who have been going through such disorders due to conflict-related incidents. However, the majority of the patients have shown some positiveness but the present Uncertainty had loomed fear and scare in psychological patients.
