Srinagar, Feb 17: A delegation comprising Apni Party leaders and senior workers from north Kashmir’s Uri constituency called on Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari at the Srinagar party headquarters today to apprise him of certain political affairs and chalk out the future strategy in the Uri constituency.
According to a press release issued here, the party delegation was led by constituency in charge Mushtaq Choudhrey, and the prominent leaders who were part of the delegation included Qazi Muhammad Shafi, Syed Mushtaq Hussain, Manzoor Ahmad Lone, Mukhtar Ahmad, Nazir Ahmad Chachi, and others.
“In the detailed meeting, the delegation members informed the President about the present political scenario in the Uri constituency. They thoroughly discussed some important matters with their leader. And, it was decided that the leaders and workers in Uri will enhance their political activities and public outreach in order to strengthen the party further in the constituency,” the press note said.
“On this occasion, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari gave a patient hearing to the visiting delegation and held deliberation to chalk out the future strategy of the party in the Uri region. He advised the leaders and workers to gear up for the forthcoming assembly polls in terms of their political activities and public outreach,” the press note added.
He said, “We are committed to the people of Uri that the Apni Party will continue to strive for the prosperity of this chronically overlooked area of the Valley. We have a clear vision about the development of the Uri and the prosperity of its people. Thus, we must be connected with the masses at the grassroots to make them aware of our vision and agenda.”
He added, “The people of Uri have faith in the Apni Party and its unambiguous agenda. They know that this is the only party that has the will and honesty to fulfil the promises made to the people. Traditional political parties have always been deceiving the people of this isolated constituency with fake promises. Those who claimed to be the representative of these people have used the vote bank to reach the power corridors and gain riches but never paid back to this area in terms of development. But the Apni Party does not believe in deceptive politics and fake promises. We will ensure successful delivery of commitments with the Uri people.”
