Ashraf Mir urges administration not to push people from pillar to post
SRINAGAR, September 14: Apni Party provincial president Kashmir Mohammad Ashraf Mir on Monday demanded immediate black topping of left out areas in Soibug area of district Budgam.
Addressing a delegation from Soibugh Budgam who called on him at Apni Party office here, Mir urged the district administration Budgam to cover the left out roads in Soibugh which have been neglected since 2017.
“The concerned department has already prepared an estimate of this road in 2019 which starts from Soibugh Main Chowk. The estimate thus prepared was later submitted to higher authorities in the public works department but unfortunately nothing has been done in this regard so far,” Mir observed.
He said the local population of Soibugh are caught in the procedural wrangling and they are being pushed from pillar to post for none of their faults. “It is the height of administrative apathy. For the last many years, the inhabitants of Soibugh Budgam are craving for the basic amenities like black topping of their left out road but nobody in the administration is listening to them,” said, Muntazir Mohi-ud-Din, Apni party leader who was present on this occasion.
The delegation stated that the administration has been avoiding them on the pretext of law and order situation and COVID-19 pandemic since August last year.
Apni Party provincial president Kashmir urged the administrative secretary Public Works Department to look into the matter and take appropriate action in this regard.
