Nauroz celebrations hold both religious and cultural importance: Ghulam Hassan Mir
SRINAGAR, March 20: Apni Party Senior Vice-President Ghulam Hassan Mir on Saturday extended his warm greetings to the people of J&K on the auspicious occasion of Nauroz.
In a statement issued here, Party’s Senior Vice-President Ghulam Hassan Mir said that Nauroz holds a special position on both religious and cultural grounds as it also marks the beginning of spring season.
“I hope that on this day a new era of peace and prosperity will usher in the region of J&K and the principles of harmony, brotherhood and unity shall be upheld. I extend my warm greetings to all. Nauroz Mubarak,” Mir greeted.
He further urged the administrative authorities to make certain that a hassle- free availability of essential commodities is maintained in the local markets.
“The authorities must ensure an uninterrupted power and water supply is maintained on this occasion along with a hassle-free availability of essential commodities in the markets, so that no inconvenience is faced by the people,” he urged.
