JAMMU, Feb 1: Apni Party Senior Vice President, Ghulam Hassan Mir has welcomed the budget presented by the Union Finance Ministry in the Parliament of India saying the Govt has provided a relief to the middle class employees in income tax slab under new tax regime.

In a statement to Kashmir Despatch, Ghulam Hassan Mir said that “It’s a welcome decision to provide relief to the middle class employees earning income up to 7 lakhs rupee annually.”

He said that “The allocation of funds for infrastructural development i.e., road, railway and airports is a welcome step, but we expect funds allocation for the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway which is becoming a problem so that it can be addressed accordingly.”

Similarly, he said that: “Jammu and Kashmir is not connected with the country though Kashmir railways. We hope that by giving extra funding for the infrastructural sector, this will be connected.”

He also said that “Govt has not given thrust to the power sector. We the people in Jammu and Kashmir feel problems during winter in Kashmir and Jammuities feel problems during summers. So, we expect that the Govt will fund sufficiently for the hydro electric projects so that the generation of powers would be possible here.”

He also said that “Though 50 lakh posts have been created in the budget, we expect more is to be done on this ground regarding employment.”
