Poor drainage and deplorable road connectivity raison d’être for immense inconvenience to the people: Muzaffar Reshi

SRINAGAR, April 08: Apni Party Youth General Secretary Muzaffar Reshi on Thursday expressed his profound concerns over the dismal condition of sewage-drains and road connectivity in multiple localities of Shehr-i-Khaas.

A delegation led by Muzaffar Reshi along with Party Leader Imran Bhat and Irfan Zargar on Wednesday visited various areas of the old city including Wantpora, Rang Masjid-Hawal and Alam Sahib Shrine in Narwara.

The locals complained about a myriad problems faced by them, especially the poor drainage system due to which immense inconvenience is caused to the people even during light rain spells. They also said that deplorable road connectivity and potholes adds more agony to the daily commuters.

During the visit, Muzaffar Reshi assured the locals that their grievances shall be raised with the competent authorities so that the sufferings are mitigated at an earliest.

He also urged the concerned authorities to take cognizance of the situation in these areas and address the public grievances promptly.

“People are immensely suffering here. The impervious attitude of the district administration & its allied departments has given rise to an appalling situation. The authorities must address the public grievances on a priority basis as there remains a serious health hazard perception for the people living here,” Muzaffar Reshi demanded.
