Army Defuses Live Shells In Uri

Uri, Nov 30 : Army on Monday claimed to have detonated unexploded shells in Kamalkote area of Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

An official told Kashmir Despatch that atleast three
shells were found unexploded in the civil locality in Kamalkote area of Uri and were defused by Army’s Bomb disposal squared ( BDS) on Monday.

A police officer also confirmed to Kashmir Despatch that the live shells were detonated in the area.

Pertinently, this is third time in the past two months live shells were diffused in Uri sector.
