SRINAGAR, Feb 27: Riyan Bin Riyaz, a student of AGS Margund, Kangan has won a gold medal in the 7th South Asian Sqay championship held in Kathmandu, Nepal. The event took place in February this year and Riyaz emerged victorious, beating out competitors from various South Asian countries.

The Wusan Battalion has been instrumental in promoting sports in the area and preparing students for various competitions. Riyaz’s victory is a testament to the hard work and dedication put in by both the athlete and the trainers.

When asked about his victory, Riyaz gave all credit to the Army. “I am extremely grateful to the Army for organizing the training sessions and giving me the opportunity to participate in these competitions. Without their support, I wouldn’t have been able to achieve this level of success.”

This is not the first time Riyaz has made a name for himself in the world of sports. He has previously won a gold medal at the 23rd National Sqay Championship and a bronze medal at the 22nd sub-junior National Wushu Championship. Additionally, he has also won three gold and a silver medal at various state-level competitions and four gold medals at the district level.

“We are extremely proud of Riyaz’s achievement. He has worked hard to reach this level of success, and we are confident that he will continue to make us proud in the future,” said a spokesperson for the Wusan Battalion.

Riyaz’s achievement has not only brought glory to his school and the Wusan Battalion but also to the entire state of Jammu and Kashmir. His success will inspire many young athletes in the area to follow in his footsteps and pursue their dreams in the world of sports.
