Srinagar, Dec 23 : Parashu Brigade under the aegis of Fire and Fury Corps installed six Solar Street Lights at Mahabodhi Hostel of Budhkharbu village in Kargil District under ‘Operation Sadhbhavana’.
According to a statement it was an endeavour to provide lighting facility for safety and wellbeing of students residing in the hostel.
The long pending demand of the villagers and students was fulfilled by Indian Army in presence of Muhammad Sharif, SDM Kargil, Sarpanch Sonam Tanzim and other civil dignitaries.
The efforts put in by Parashu Brigade for installation of solar street lights were highly appreciated by all the villagers and civil dignitaries present at the event.
The installation of solar street lights will provide the much needed community lighting facility as part of ‘Atal Jyoti Yojna’ (AJYA) for safety and wellbeing of the children.
The project aims at supporting the education of young generation of Ladakhi youth as also showcase the continuous support of Indian Army towards such worthy causes.
