An Army soldier was killed and two others injured in a suspected IED blast near the Line of Control in Akhnoor sector of Jammu division on Sunday late evening.
An official said that a soldier has been identified as Havildar Santosh Kumar, a resident of Pura Bhadauria village in UP’s Agra district and the injured army men are Naik Gemera Ram and Naik Krishan Lal.
The suspected improvised explosive device blast occurred in Pallanwalla area, around 60 km from the winter capital, when a truck carrying a patrol team was moving near LoC, said an official.
